After a drab opening period, makeshift striker Chris Giles tapped home to give the home side the lead two minutes after the restart.

Winger Tony Scully then twisted and turned the City defence inside out, before firing past Danny McDonnell for the second.

A much-improved display was capped when Steve Burton showed good strength to hold off his marker and shoot home.

Worcester player-manager Andy Preece grabbed a late consolation.
