Salisbury's joint-caretaker boss Darren Clarke said: "He's a good lad. Although we're sorry to see him go, we all wish him all the best at his new club.
"Chris has worked ever so hard in training during pre-season and looks in terrific shape."
Clarke added that the Whites are on hoping to confirm several new arrivals shortly.
"We have a lot of players wanting to come to us," he said.
"We're close to boosting the squad by bringing in a couple of new faces."
