Crawley manager Steve Evans told the club's website: "Forest Green made an approach to take the lad on loan and we thought it would benefit him.
"He is ready for first-team football and to show the talent he has."
Evans added: ''The strength in depth we have in our first-team squad, given we now have the likes of Dean Howell, Sam Rents and Jamie Cook available for selection, allows us to let Floody go and play some first-team football."
