Claude Davis and Shaun Cooper could return to the Crawley squad for the visit of manager Richie Barker's former club Bury.
Defenders Davis (thigh) and Cooper (groin) resumed training earlier this week following spells out injured and their fitness will be assessed ahead of kick-off.
Skipper Gary Alexander will return to the starting line-up after he was rested in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday night, although the striker came on as a late sub as Town went down 1-0 at his old side Brentford.
Josh Simpson, Mat Sadler and Hope Akpan also dropped out of the team beaten by the same opposition in the league three days earlier and could reclaim their places while Nicky Ajose is pushing to return alongside Alexander in attack.
David Healy is a notable absentee as Bury attempt to get their season up and running.
League One's bottom side have failed to fire all season and already find themselves six points from safety.
And their cause will not be helped by Healy's absence as he prepares for Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Portugal on Tuesday.
Mark Cullen could be a ready-made replacement after replacing Healy after an hour in Bury's midweek JPT shootout win over Rochdale.
Andy Bishop will also be challenging for a place in attack after returning to action in midweek following a loan spell at Wrexham.
Forward Lenell John-Lewis and defender Phil Picken are out long-term with knee injuries, the latter for the season, as Bury bid for their first league win in 11 matches.
